Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive, compassionate nursing care within our premier senior living community. As an LPN at The Legacy at North Augusta, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibilities for direct nursing care of assigned residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Prepares and administers medications and medical and nursing treatment and nursing treatment to meet medical orders and the interdisciplinary plan of care as assigned
- Makes observations regarding the health status of the residents and shares the information (i.e. physical changes in skin coloring, texture, or temperature change in respiratory sound) with the Charge Nurse
- Participates in development and maintenance of current and accurate interdisciplinary care plan as delegated. Incorporates new orders and changes in condition as delegated Participates in notification of families of new orders, changes in condition and physician visits, as delegated
- Documents resident care and observations for assigned residents
- Assists in direct resident care such as handling or moving residents
- Responds to emergency and/or life threatening situations and provides assistance as required
- Participates in implementation of admission and discharge of residents as delegated
- Partners in the position on-boarding of Nursing Service Staff; ensure appropriate training on NLCS standards of Nursing Services practices during the orientation of new employees as required
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- LPN license in the state employed
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a hospital, long term care facility or other related healthcare facility
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills; able to maintain confidential information
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
