What You'll Do:
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Operations: Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, assist with month-end close, and support budget preparation.
- Payroll Management: Process multi-state payroll, ensure compliance with regulations, resolve discrepancies, and generate payroll reports.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments, issue tax filings (e.g., 1099s), process billing statements, and oversee collections.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain adherence to NLCS policies, prepare PBJ reports for CMS, and safeguard sensitive financial data.
- Team Support: Foster an inclusive environment, provide payroll/AP training, and collaborate across departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Associate’s degree in accounting is required
- Ability to work as part of a supportive, high functioning Finance team requiring flexibility, proactive communication, and teamwork
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (such as, but not limited to, extracting and manipulating large data sets, using complex formulas)
- Demonstrated ability to summarize data in a clear, concise, and professional manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet established deadlines
- Ability to communicate at all levels, provide instruction and train other team members as required
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong computer skills are required, to include Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to read and speak English

Job Type: Full Time
Pay range: Based on experience, with final offer reflecting the candidate's demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and professional background.
