JOB DESCRIPTION: LATTICE BOOM CRANE OPERATOR
Lattice Boom Crane Operator operates cranes, cherry pickers, tractors, and/or other equipment used in lifting and manipulating loads in the repair, cleaning and/or construction of marine vessels and associated equipment. Lattice Boom Crane Operator manipulates cables, chains, shackles, and other equipment. outside working conditions with fumes, odors, chemicals, and dust. Lattice Boom Crane Operator also manages barge cleaning operation.
LATTICE BOOM CRANE OPERATOR Essential Functions:
- Enter and work in operator's cab and similarly confined spaces.
- Manipulate and transport loads up to 75 pounds over distances of up to 200 feet, approximately 15 times during each 8 hour shift.
- Manipulate and operate all machines and tools essential to the performance of the position of operator such as a Bobcat fork lift, cutting torch, battery charger, chains, slings, shackles and/or wire rope.
- Traverse and negotiate gangways and scaffolding at varying heights; negotiate uneven surfaces.
- Ascend and work at heights up to 40 feet.
Other Functions:
- Enter round manholes with inside diameter of 18 inches.
- Maintenance machinery.
- Complete basic laborer tasks.
- Comprehend material safety data sheet.
- Comprehend blueprints, sketches and templates.
- Comprehend and follow confined space policies.
- Any other duties as directed by Management.
