Licensed HVAC/Boiler Operator:
Shift available: Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm (may vary depending on weather)

We are looking for a Licensed Boiler Operator to perform a variety of work in HVAC and general maintenance and repairs to buildings, facilities, and equipment.

Licensed HVAC/Boiler Technician Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative maintenance of the chilled water systems, steam, hot water, and associated systems, including cleaning of equipment and equipment rooms.
- Maintains pumps and motors.
- Cutting & threading pipe
- Routinely services air handler units.
- Checks and adjusts temperatures.
- Services, repairs, and replaces parts on cooling towers, start up and shut down, turns free hanging heaters on and off as needed.
- Start up and shut down of boilers and chillers.
- Turns on AC units, parking lot lights and ensures proper building operation through use of the Energy Management System.
- Checks outside temperatures and maintain above freezing temperature level in all areas of building complex.
- Start up and shut down of chillers, troubleshoots improper operation and maintains proper water temperatures and pressures.
- Services, repairs, replaces parts and maintains proper operation of all Boilers, Pumps, piping, and associated components.
- Dissembles, prepares, and reassembles boilers for inspections.
- Performs various other duties as needed.
- Performs rounds every two hours to check equipment rooms and log Chillers, Boilers, and various other readings on a daily basis.
- Submits daily meter reading and logs.
- Attends training seminars and programs to stay abreast of the latest chilled water, steam, hot water systems, and associated systems maintenance procedures, new equipment, etc.
Licensed HVAC/Boiler Technician Qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years of experience performing tasks related to chilled water systems, steam, hot water, and associated systems and duties required in the operation of a large building complex.
- Must have High Pressure Black Seal License
- Must have working knowledge of chilled water systems, steam, hot water, and associated systems and equipment.
- Must have good organizational and planning skills with ability to maintain daily work records.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, diplomacy, courtesy, and tact.
- The ability to operate a forklift and other service vehicles (pick-up truck, van, etc.)
Licensed HVAC/Boiler Technician Physical Requirements:
- Requires a full range of body motions including seeing and hearing to normal range.
- Job requires routine standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, speaking, hearing and visually checking work assignments in progress and those that have been completed.
- Occasionally must lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently works irregular hours and tight deadlines.
Licensed HVAC/Boiler Technician Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in confined mechanical rooms, attics, and exposure to outside elements.
Minimum Work HVAC/Boiler Experience:
· HVAC/R Certification
· High Pressure Black Seal License
· 3 years’ experience in general maintenance
· 3 years’ experience in one or more building trades
Passing a Drug Screening and Background Check is required for employment.
