034 - Solution Heat Treat - SHT Operator 1

3rd Shift: 11pm-7am

Successful SHT Operation includes operating tailstock by performing the following duties:

• Completes reports and forms at the tailstock.
• Assist at the stretcher by lining up loads and carry around.
• Operates rollers at the tailstock.
• Ensures solution heat treat temperature and proper percentage on stretching parts is maintained.
• Maintains quench by proper nozzle settings, run out speed, die history review and setting up new dies, daily inspection, running water cooling circuit.
• Checks oil levels and reports leaks to the supervisor.
• Operates overhead crane.
• Maintains professional communication with supervisors and co-workers to insure efficient and safety work operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Follows safe work procedures.

Qualifications: Must be able to read and understand job sheets, work instructions, and route tags. Utilize applicable measuring equipment: calipers and micrometers. Demonstrate ability to produce defect-free parts. Demonstrate leadership and organization skills.
