049 - Finishing Saw - Finish Saw Helper

2nd Shift- 3pm-11pm
Assist in operating cutoff saw that cuts metal to length by performing the following duties:

• Assist in operating finish saw.
• Cut metal to proper length.
• Processes all paperwork at the finish saw.
• Take proper samples to the lab for testing.
• Checks and refills oil levels and reports leaks to the supervisor.
• Operates forklift with 6000-pound capacity.
• Must be able to work required overtime.
• Maintains professional communication with supervisors and co-workers to insure efficient and safety work operations.
• Bands all scrap securely with proper labeling.
• Reports any malfunction of the equipment immediately to Supervision.
• Steel stamps parts with correct push and part number.
• Uses tape measure.
• Uses proper lifting system when setting finish goods off the rollers.
• Follows safe work procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must be able to read and understand job sheets, work instructions, and route tags. Utilize applicable measuring equipment: calipers and micrometers. Demonstrate ability to produce defect-free parts. Demonstrate leadership and organization skills.
