Digital Media Buyer
National Media, a leading Republican media firm in Alexandria, VA is seeking an experienced and motivated Digital Media Buyer. A Digital Media Buyer would be responsible for creating, negotiating, placing and managing digital paid-media schedules. Digital Media Buyers are expected to work closely with the media team by performing tasks related to media research, planning and placement in a fast-paced, conservative, political media buying agency. You will be required to maintain positive and professional working relationships with media vendors across the country while meeting all client goals and deadlines. A successful Digital Media Buyer at National Media will:
- Have 5 years in the digital, streaming and social space with a basic knowledge of television, cable, radio, print and out-of-home media.
- Must have experience with Google Campaign Manager.
- Must have experience buying within DSPs, Meta, Twitter and Google.
- Knowledge of the DC Media ecosystem preferred.
- Have experience with political candidates and issue/advocacy rate structures and pricing, in-and-out of political windows.
- Be able to manage both client requests and vendor orders under high-pressure conditions.
- Consistently demonstrate understanding and application of research methods and data to the media placement process.
- Must be willing to participate in managing active budgets, invoicing, and the post-campaign reconciliation process.
- Must be organized, have good communication skills, experience working in a team setting, proficiency using Microsoft Office – specifically Word and Excel – and have the ability to multi-task.
- Experience with Strata preferred.
- Experience with Scarborough’s Prime Lingo preferred or other advanced audience providers.
- You must be able to work independently and also function as a member of the broader team.
- You must be a problem solver with the ability to think critically and apply both specific media concepts and general professional practices to your daily work.
