Program Coordinator – Evaluation and Technical Assistance
Salary: $70,000
Reports to: Program Manager-The Center
Location: Primarily remote, with occasional travel required for in-person meetings and events

Position Overview:
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the evaluation and technical assistance activities within the System-Level Syndemic Approach to Improve HIV Care and Treatment for People from Racial and Ethnic Minority Groups – Demonstration Systems project, funded under the HRSA-24-107 Syndemic Approach Demonstration Sites initiative. This project is a collaboration between JSI and NMAC. This project aims to improve HIV care and retention by addressing syndemics (co-occurring epidemics) and social determinants of health affecting racial and ethnic minority groups. The Program Coordinator will collaborate closely with the Associate Manager—Training & Evaluation, Program Manager—Treatment, Director of The Center, Deputy Direct of Programs, project partners, and subject matter experts to ensure seamless delivery of training, evaluation, and technical assistance services across multiple demonstration sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and implementation of multi-system evaluation protocols, collaborating with demonstration systems to assess the effectiveness of syndemic approaches, co-occurring conditions, and social determinants of health.
- Work with the Associate Manager—Training & Evaluation and subject matter experts to deliver comprehensive technical assistance that meets the HRSA requirements, particularly focusing on HIV care integration, behavioral health conditions, and social support services.
- Participate in collaborative meetings and workshops led by the Evaluation and Technical Assistance Provider (ETAP) to ensure alignment with the overall syndemic approach goals.
- Coordinate and deliver virtual and in-person training sessions, workshops, and webinars tailored to the capacity-building needs of demonstration systems focused on the syndemic approach.
- Develop and distribute post-training resources, such as guides and toolkits, to support the replication of effective models in other jurisdictions, as required by the HRSA-24-107 funding opportunity.
- Assist in the collection, tracking, and reporting of quantitative and qualitative outcome measures, including client demographics, behavioral health indicators, and viral suppression data, in accordance with the HRSA evaluation framework.
- Collaborate with Data Managers and Evaluators in demonstration systems to ensure timely and accurate submission of data required for the multi-system evaluation.
- Serve as a liaison between demonstration systems and the ETAP, coordinating logistical support and ensuring timely communication of evaluation and training schedules.
- Engage with community partners, people with lived experiences, and other stakeholders to incorporate feedback into program implementation and dissemination activities.
- Promote the project’s syndemic approach and integrated care model through coordination with communications teams and external partners.
- Contribute to the development of sustainability plans for successful strategies and approaches, ensuring they are integrated into the demonstration systems' standard practices post-funding.
- Support the preparation and dissemination of manuscripts, toolkits, and other resources to share lessons learned and best practices with a national audience of HIV care providers.
- Serve as Special Assistant to Deputy Director of Programs and provide logistical support to the Center to End the Epidemic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, program evaluation, adult learning and education, sociology, or demonstrate a track record of professional experience equivalent to a degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination, preferably related to adult learning and training, evaluation, and/or capacity building.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with HIV prevention, public health, or nonprofit programs is a plus.
- Experience working with online learning platforms and virtual meeting tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams).
