Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary.
- Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers to achieve a smooth and even finish.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during the painting process.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed to meet project specifications.
- Utilize basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint accurately.
- Assemble painted parts or products according to engineering drawings or specifications.
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure quality control throughout the painting process.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial painting or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Familiarity with auto body repair techniques is a plus.
- Experience with machining processes is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification may be required).
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
