Field Service Technician

JOB SUMMARY

• Field Service Technician position focuses on installing, configuring, calibrating, testing and repairing Flowline and Surface Safety Products at customers field locations and facilities and at NOV Service Facilities.
• This position requires performing a variety of maintenance and technical support on installed products and equipment to include, but not limited to, Gate Valves, Hydraulic/Pneumatic Actuators, Swivels, Control Modules, and Completion and Intervention Flowheads
• Must be able to work remotely and under moderate supervision
• This is an hourly position and is eligible for daily field pay rates as per NOV pay structure

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Travel to customer sites to install, repair, test and maintenance client owned NOV WFL brand products. Provide field technical support to clients as required.
• Install, repair, test, and maintenance NOV WFL Brand products at NOV Service Facility(s)
• Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments
• US Land, US Offshore, and International travel and field work required
• Diagnose cause of equipment malfunction thru observations and testing based on related schematics and assembly drawings

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required
• 2 or more years’ experience with any of the following is required: Gate valves, hydraulic or pneumatic actuator assemblies, surface flowheads, to include control modules
• 2 or more years offshore field service experience is preferred
• Willing to travel over 25% of the time to other NOV and/or customer locations as required to support our service offering for the WLF product lines
• Willing to work overtime and on-call schedule
• Knowledge of both rig and completion well site operations a plus
• Pneumatic and hydraulic background preferred

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Ability to read and apply Assembly Drawings/Procedures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint schematics is a plus
• Operation of test pumps/equipment
• Operation of cranes and forklifts
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Have and maintain a valid US drivers license and willing to drive light duty vehicles as required by the business
• A working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems is a plus but not required
