DESCRIPTION
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER
Beth Morrison Projects, one of the industry’s leading innovators in opera-theatre and music theatre, seeks 1-2 full-time associate producers to join its team. Associate Producers (APs) act as project managers and primary points of communication for a portfolio of BMP productions in development, in production, and on tour. By managing the various details, workflows, people, and priorities necessary to bring a production from idea to premiere, APs ensure that BMP artists can do their best work and see their creations come to life.
Core Responsibilities :
- Production and Performance Coordination : Ensure that BMP productions and works in development progress on schedule by serving as the point person for all production administration, including casting & production team hiring and onboarding, artistic meeting scheduling and note-taking, and workshop, rehearsal, and production calendar development and logistics.
- Internal and External Communication : Serve as the nexus of communication with BMP’s producing and general management teams, as well as partner organizations’ artistic, production, and administrative staff, ensuring shared understanding of information, expectations, and next steps.
- Artist Liaison and Support : Serve as the primary point of contact for collaborating artists to foster a positive and meaningful creative partnership with BMP by ensuring they are fully informed, engaged, and supported in their work.
- Tour & Travel Management : Plan, confirm, and book all travel and housing for BMP staff and artists when working away from home, and provide on-site support for BMP workshops and touring engagements.
- General Artistic Administration : Maintain all BMP artistic records, documents, and databases, and coordinate other production or administrative tasks as needed in support of BMP’s production team.
BMP operates on a hybrid model, with at least two days in BMP’s Brooklyn office each week. The AP may also work onsite in BMP rehearsal and performance spaces across the greater NYC area. As such, the AP must be based in the greater New York City area or willing to relocate. This role is also expected to travel nationally and internationally with BMP productions.

Pay Range : $53,000 - $56,000 Annual
Compensation :
The AP role is a full-time, non-exempt position with a salary range of $53,000-$56,000. All full-time employees at BMP receive contributions to health insurance premiums. BMP’s standard office
