DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE : To carry out the Music Director’s vision by overseeing administrative functions of her office.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Recommends a course of action, referral, or response; translates goals into action plans; confirms and supports executions of priorities.
- Build administrative systems for tracking events / defining score and stakeholders / follow-ups / deliverables for departments.
- Represents the Music Director in internal meetings as appropriate; serves as a liaison between various departments and the Music Director; monitors various channels of communication to ensure a dynamic flow of information to and from the Music Director.
- Partner with the Music Director and key stakeholders to develop and execute both new and ongoing programming that advances the Music Director and San Francisco Opera’s strategic vision. Oversee the planning and execution of related special events.
- Identify and engage with donors, working collaboratively with the Development department to support donor relations and advance strategic funding goals for music director projects. Develop and grow relationships with key community partners and organizations.
- Work with Marketing and Communications teams to develop and implement strategies that promote the Office of the Music Director projects and attract and engage audiences.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS :
EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE : Minimum five (5) years increasingly responsible general administrative work, opera production or artistic administrative experience highly preferred.

Pay Range : $70,000 - $75,000 Annual.
