Summary of Description:
The Pool Service Technician will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our customers’ swimming pools. Pool Service Technicians are customer-facing and are expected to approach each job professionally to maintain our high standard of customer care.
Education, Licensure, and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- 2 years of pool industry experience is preferred
- Technical knowledge and experience in the pool industry is required
- Familiarity with the different manufacturers/brands of equipment is preferred
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle report
- Must have a valid driver’s license, 3 years of verifiable driving history and clean driving record
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or other pool certification a plus

Essential Functions:

- Perform the cleaning and water balance of the swimming pool
- Scrub pool tiles, floors, and walls of swimming pools
- Empty skimmer baskets and pump baskets
- Net pool surface to clear out leaves and other debris
- Vacuum pool floors and stairs
- Clean and backwash pool filters
- Check all pool chemical levels and ensure proper pool chemistry at each pool
- Add chlorine, acid, and other chemicals to correct the water balance
- Visually inspect pool and advise any next steps to the client
- Check pool equipment to ensure proper operation
- Drive the company vehicle to the customer’s location
- Daily walk around and inspection of assigned company vehicle
- Perform regular truck inspections and notify mechanic of any issue that arises in real-time
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and chemical stock inventory levels in the vehicle
- Complete paperwork and reporting service requirements to management
- Communicate to internal team, and with customers through email and messaging applications
- Perform other related duties as assigned
