Having sold over 1 million vehicles since inception, NPA plays an important role in assisting clients with liquidating inventory and maximizing returns. Dealers throughout the world utilize NPA for acquisition of wholesale vehicles and to ensure their pre-owned inventory meets their customer's demands.
Objective:
The Marketing Event Manager plans, organizes, and executes events, managing logistics, budgets, vendors, and staff to ensure a smooth and successful experience, while handling post-event evaluations. The Marketing Event Manager will be a professional and thoughtful collaborator, responsible for developing NPA’s current marketing leads and fostering NPA client and employee relations
Responsibilities
Event Planning and Strategy
- Define event goals, objectives, and target audiences
- Develop the event timeline, budget, and overall plan
- Plan all event activities and the agenda
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients and vendors
- Research and select appropriate venues and locations
Budget and Financial Management
- Create and manage event budgets
- Deal with vendors, suppliers, and venues to optimize costs
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements
- Track expenses and ensure financial efficiency
Logistics and Operations
- Oversee venue setup, décor, and equipment needs
- Coordinate transportation, catering, and accommodations
- Supervise caterers, event coordinators, vendors, entertainment, and security teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and legal regulations
- Troubleshoot any issues on-site
Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination
- Manage relationships with vendors, sponsors, and event partners
- Review contracts and service agreements
- Ensure vendors meet set deadlines and quality expectations
Marketing and Promotion
- Work with sales and marketing teams on engagement strategies
- Collaborate with NPA media, telemarketing, business development, and sales teams
- Manage event registrations and customer activations
Team and Staff Management
- Hire, instruct, and oversee event staff and volunteers
- Assign roles and responsibilities to ensure smooth execution
- Conduct briefings to inform and align everyone with the event objectives
Execution and On-Site Event Management
- Supervise event setup and ensure all elements are in place
- Manage the event schedule and activities
- Handle guest services, including VIPS and special requests
Post-Event Evaluation and Reporting
- Collect feedback from attendees, clients, and stakeholders
- Analyze event results and identify areas of both strength and improvement
- Prepare post-event reports and reconcile financials
- Present event reports and results to stakeholders
Overview:
- Regular, full-time position in the office and reporting to the Marketing Director.
- Requires 1-3 events a month that may require travel within the continental United States.
- The Marketing Event Manager will work closely with the VP of Marketing, Marketing Director, Graphic Designer, and Marketing Managers, assisting on an array of marketing projects, including special campaigns, company meetings, community events, conferences and trade shows.
General Duties:
- Create, write, and proofread internal event email marketing
- Write, proofread, and edit internal event marketing collateral
- Research event venues and negotiate contracts
- Procure insurance required for events
- Research, coordinate, and negotiate prices for equipment rentals, food, beverages, entertainment, etc., for events and meetings held by NPA
- Maintain, negotiate, and update hotel rates and contracts for all facilities
- Make hotel reservations for events
- Travel and execute tasks at tradeshows and industry events while professionally representing NPA
- Ensure all event collateral and swag are current, in stock, and correctly displayed at each facility and/or event.
- Collaborate with the graphic designer and the IT department to update the website for events
- Effectively and regularly communicate with the NPA media, telemarketing, IT, and Business Development departments
