We are looking for a Warehouse Associate Receiving Clerk!
Position Summary:
The Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments to ensure inventory accuracy in warehouse management systems. This role requires a high level of attention to detail to verify item quantities, check for damages, and assign items to the correct bins or locations. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient receiving area, ensuring materials are properly integrated into the warehouse inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying item quantities and conditions against purchase orders.
- Inspect items for damage or defects, reporting discrepancies to the purchasing team.
- Use warehouse management systems to scan and record received items, assigning them to the correct bins or locations with precision.
- Label received items and stage them in the appropriate bins or locations, ensuring accurate placement for inventory tracking.
- Assist with inventory audits by verifying received quantities against system records, supporting accurate inventory management.
- Keep the receiving area clean and organized, removing waste materials (e.g., packaging, pallets) to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
- No supervisory duties
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in receiving, inspecting, and recording inventory.
- Strong organizational skills to manage incoming shipments and maintain a tidy receiving area.
- Ability to use warehouse management systems (preference for experience with RF-Smart and NetSuite) to process inventory transactions with a focus on data accuracy.
- Basic computer skills for updating inventory records and communicating discrepancies.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery (training provided if needed).
Education and Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Prior experience working in a warehouse, specifically in receiving roles.
- Preference for candidates with experience using RF-Smart and NetSuite for inventory management.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, as the role involves handling various warehouse items.
- The position is predominantly in the warehouse, where temperature conditions can vary (e.g., hot in summer, cold in winter).
- Role requires constant standing, walking, and moving around to pick and pack orders, often in a fast-paced environment.
- Employee safety and self-awareness must be utilized at all times around warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
