Job Description

NPI is currently seeking a Die cast Engineering Technician to perform advance setup of die cast machines with Fanuc Robotics automation and/or maintenance of die cast machines, Robot and equipment in order to support manufacturing, provide support for developing and trials of new parts to his designated engineer.

Provide direct support to its designated engineer by ensuring the operation of aluminum Zitai brand die castings machines, Fanuc Robot automation system and development of aluminum die cast parts.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing maintenance and setup of die cast machines with understanding of electrical & hydraulic schematics, troubleshooting malfunctions with support of manual and engineering inputs.
• Analyze machine problems and correct with logical approach.
• Carefully test machines’ parameters for higher productivity and quality.
• Strong understanding of testing equipment like voltmeter, gauges and hydraulic system.
• Efficiently maintain die cast facility.
• Systematically evaluates damage to tooling components.
• Independently reprogram Fanuc Robot with die cast machine
• Set up of die cast machines with different dies and record parameters.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
• Must comply with the company procedures and work instructions.
• Perform work in a safe and environmentally conscientious manner according to company policy.

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of die cast machines with Zitai brand and its setup procedure.
• Knowledge of Fanuc robot automation with Die cast machines.
• Test selected products at specified stages in the production process for performance or adherence to specifications.
• Verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards by observing worker performance.
• Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
• Oversee or inspect production processes.
• Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to be on your feet up to eight hours per day.
• Ability to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to use shop mathematics.
• Ability to learn general computer skills.

Education

• High School Diploma. GED, or higher preferred
• 10-15 years of experience as a die cast setup technician preferably Zitai die cast machines with Fanuc Robot automation background.

Hourly Range: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
