Job Description
The Facilities Technician must have experience in building/facilities maintenance and be proficient or capable in the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, electrical or preventative maintenance. This is a full-time, nonexempt hourly position, reporting to the Facility Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs basic construction tasks including framing, drywall, plumbing and finishing
- Uses various power tools for light construction projects
- Provides preventative maintenance on HVAC and machinery.
- Repairs, maintains facility supplies, tools, and equipment
- Complies with all safety procedures and requirements
- Responds to equipment and warehouse emergencies
- Assists in installations of equipment in multiple departments.
- Supports building needs and activities (after hours) as required
- Performs other job duties and tasks as assigned
- Good driving record
Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance
- Basic construction knowledge and experience
- Experience with various power tools and maintenance equipment
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good organizational skills
- Approachable and able to develop and maintain strong working relationships
- Attention to detail to meet quality standards
- Good communication skills
- Clearly read, write, and comprehend English
- Must have valid WA state driver's license with a clean driving record
Education
- High School education or GED
Hourly Range: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
