JOB SUMMARY
Perform all aspects on building, disassembling, and inspecting vertical turbine pump assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform work accurately and on time to maintain customer expectations/deadline
- Ensure all required ISO documentation are properly filled out and documented during the assembly and/or testing process
- Keep a clean workspace
- Ability to identify all parts and order requirements to specific bill of material
- Inspect machined surfaces and clean/prepare items prior to assembly
- General mathematic skills
- Ability to record and use various measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, and micrometers)
- Familiar with mechanics tools IE; sockets, wrenches, impact, torques, ETC...
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor as required
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Skills)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in an industrial product manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent people/communication skills
- Computer literate, general math & computing skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The Assembler must be able to stand and or sit for long periods of time, be able to lift at least 75 pounds, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crouch, be able to talk & hear and be proficient with the English language in both verbal and written skills. Specific vision requirements are to have close, distance, color, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
