JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for directing, coordinating, maintaining and supervising the Branch Manufacturing department. Monitors department policies and procedures and recommends improvements, consults with Senior Management team, participates in establishing and implementing major goals and objectives and serves as a resource for all aspects of manufacturing. Promotes and ensures that a quality product is produced on time and at a cost supporting a competitive price to our customers. Assigns, directs and evaluates respective department’s teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence of all safety and quality requirements
- Review and assist with work orders, production schedules and other reports to determine production requirements and outputs
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities within or between departments
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders and company policies and procedures
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work & safety procedures
- Set up and adjust machines and equipment
- Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards
- Partner with Sr. Management to plan and develop production processes
- Maintain records of employees’ attendance and hours worked
- Evaluate employee performance, recommend or execute personnel actions
- Required to follow any other job-related instructions/duties as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Training, Experience, Skills)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current driver license
- Knowledge of DOT requirements for operator record keeping (Shipping & Receiving only)
- Excellent driver record
- Professional conduct as both a driver and NPC employee
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills using tact and negotiation
- Dependability, attendance, organization, work quality, productivity, initiative, cooperation and overall knowledge development are all key to performing this position successfully.
