Restaurant Director of Operations Summary

Supervises the management of multiple restaurants, ensuring people development, product quality, customer satisfaction, image management, restaurant profitability and assimilation into our culture. Builds and maintains loyal customer base through consistent product quality, creative marketing strategies and exemplary customer service.

Restaurant Director of Operations Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensures profitability for multiple restaurants by demonstrating exemplary managerial and operations skills including making quality products, completing administrative duties, executing cash management duties, monitoring proper delivery area sizes, and ensuring compliance with our company standards as defined in our Operations Manual, and with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.

Oversees the management of multiple restaurants by actively recruiting management team members, supporting managers' recruiting efforts, maintaining adequate staffing levels, properly orienting team members, coaching and developing team members, ensuring compliance with uniform and appearance standards, conducting timely performance reviews, addressing and documenting performance issues, and taking appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including terminations, conducting exit interviews, and following all company policies and federal, state, and local laws and ordinances regarding employment.

Provides quality customer service; professionally and promptly responds to customer concerns or issues including appropriate and timely resolution of customer concerns or issues. Solicits customer feedback, shares feedback with team, and uses feedback to improve restaurants' operations and build brand loyalty. Develops strong working relationships with corporate departments and operations team.

Manages supervisor controllable profit and sales budget, ensures expenditures stay within budget, and takes action to correct deviations from the budget; Leads sales building activities through creative local sales marketing efforts and through a positive presence in the community, and by managing and controlling costs.

Regularly conducts restaurant visits to evaluate and monitor restaurant level performance, ensure product quality, coach management and team members, audit financial information, ensure compliance with employment hiring regulations and operations standards, to detect fraudulent PROFIT System transactions, and implement improvement strategies and tactics.

Plans and prioritizes area- and restaurant-level action plans and agendas to address key issues and improve operating performance; using Analysis, customer data, and other sources to gather and analyze financial, quantitative, and qualitative date to identify and respond to product, service, and financial trends and issues.

Restaurant Director of Operations Functional Skills

Knowledge of computer applications including Excel, Word, and e-mail applications

Aptitude to learn internal computer systems to perform critical job functions

Proficient with point of sale system and office equipment

Cash management skills

Advance accounting including invoice reconciliation, debit and credit review, financial statement analysis

Restaurant Director of Operations Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred

Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification

1 to (2) years in multi-unit supervision preferred

Successful track record in management

Two to five years progressive management experience

Restaurant Director of Operations Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to use hands repetitively, stand, walk, grasp firmly/strongly and simply/lightly with hands, and use fine finger dexterity. The team member is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move np to 50 pounds. Occasionally, the team member is required to sit, climb, balance, push and/or pull, and lift and/or move over 51 pounds.

Restaurant Director of Operations Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to work outdoors in various temperatures, in a noisy environment, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, and around fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals.

Additional Information

Must be 18 years of age or older

Must have a valid U.S. driver's license, proof of insurance, and satisfactory vehicle

Work long hours, scheduled or unscheduled, as emergencies arise

Travel may be required

Ability to successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant, including food delivery

Bilingual in certain markets

Restaurant Director of Operations Salary and Benefits
