Job Title : Website Manager
Reports To : Senior Manager of Digital Content Department : Marketing and Engagement Salary : $70,202-$84,226 Location : Remote in continental US
Job Overview The Website Manager leads the overall strategy for the association’s website(s), working on all aspects of website design, functionality, and usability. This position manages processes to create new web pages, refresh existing content, and improve site functionality. Reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Content who leads the overall digital strategy. The Website Manager provides day-to-day insights to help drive the strategy. The Website Manager supports the design, architecture, coding, accessibility, and user experience. In addition, the Website Manager leads training, sets permissions, and manages access to CMS web software. The Website Manager collaborates with the IT Department on the availability / hosting of website assets, site redesign, platform migrations or changes, and platform integrations. Requirements :
Responsibilities
- Leads the organization’s overall website strategy in service of the organizational goals and priorities, aligned to the strategic plan
- Updates and maintains web content / assets using Content Management System (CMS), monitors content on live site, and troubleshoots or escalates issues
- Creates a process to manage regular page updates to ensure content is not outdated and removed when appropriate
- Trains the staff on the CMS and website content policies
- Reviews, tracks, and reports on website traffic using Google Analytics, Heatmaps, customer feedback, and other tools in coordination with the Marketing and Analytics Specialist
- Implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics to increase NRPA’s online presence.
- Manages the placement of external advertising on NRPA’s websites and provides reporting.
- Acts as in-house development for sitemaps and design (user interface and development)
- Uses SiteImprove to ensure that there are no broken links and that the site is as ADA-compliant as possible with current capabilities
- Leads process to develop new site components and microsites as needed
- Works in coordination with IT team to document and monitor domain registration and renewals
