About the Role
A well-established healthcare provider is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial strategy, operations, and fiscal responsibility of a regional acute-care hospital. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership: Oversee general accounting, revenue cycle management, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Operational Strategy: Partner with executive leadership to develop short- and long-term financial plans, including resource allocation and capital investment strategies.
- Performance Monitoring: Analyze financial trends, identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue growth, and provide actionable insights.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with government regulations, tax filings, and third-party payer requirements.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the development of annual operating and capital budgets, performing variance analysis and cash flow projections.
- Technology & Systems Management: Direct data processing, materials management, and financial reporting systems to ensure operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Development: Train and mentor finance teams, ensuring strong internal controls and accountability.
- Cost Control & Revenue Optimization: Implement strategic initiatives to drive financial efficiency while maintaining high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a CFO in an acute-care hospital setting.
- At least 3 years of financial leadership experience in a for-profit healthcare organization.
- Experience in financial turnaround strategies, revenue cycle management, and operational cost control.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare financial regulations, GAAP, and strategic planning.
