About the Role
A premier behavioral healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial operations at a new state-of-the-art healthcare facility. This role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and strategic planning while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.The CFO will play a key role in establishing financial stability and operational efficiency while collaborating with executive leadership, department heads, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and corporate financial reports.
- Develop and oversee budget planning, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives to support the facility’s growth.
- Manage the revenue cycle process, focusing on accounts receivable collection, cash flow management, and reducing uncompensated care.
- Maintain financial controls and compliance procedures to facilitate audits with no material adjustments.
- Monitor financial performance metrics, identify risks, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Supervise financial departments, including Accounting, Health Information Management, Materials Management, and Revenue Cycle.
- Work closely with insurance verification teams and financial counselors to optimize revenue capture and minimize denials.
- Ensure proper capital asset management, tracking depreciation, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Oversee group purchasing contracts and supply chain expenses, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Lead the preparation of capital budgets and strategic planning initiatives in alignment with leadership goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (major in Accounting required).
- 3 years of CFO or senior financial leadership experience in healthcare (behavioral health preferred).
- Strong background in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and financial software applications.
- Demonstrated strategic problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with executive teams, staff, and external stakeholders.
- High level of emotional intelligence, ethics, and communication skills.
- CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
