NRF is seeking an experienced marketer to direct event marketing communications for NRF and related divisions and supports all in-house marketing campaigns and develop targeted plans and oversee production of marketing and communications collateral.
Primary responsibilities include working to develop and execute yearly marketing plans for event calendar, using historical data and external sources as guides and managing independent, non-event related marketing projects which support NRF’s strategic plan and goals.
Essential Functions :
- Develop targeted marketing plans for each event and project, including goals, strategies, programs and tactics, achievement metrics, and budget
- Execute marketing plans, including :
Developing project plans and keeping programs on schedule
Determining key messaging and themesCrafting creative strategy for marketing tactics, including direct mail, email, social, advertising, blog, web, and tradesManaging internal resources – graphic designers, data analysts, copywritersManaging external agencies for brand development, design, paid mediaLeveraging internal assets such as NRF’s website, SmartBriefs, enewsletters and social media platforms to promote NRF programsInitiate, build and maximize marketing partnerships with media, and other third parties to reach new and relevant audiencesOverseeing the segmentation, testing, reporting and expansion of targeted prospects, with the goal of growing NRF brands among desired audiencesAnalyzing, report and utilize metrics to evaluate and re-evaluate strategiesDirecting asset development and review and approve event / program brand deploymentWork closely with internal strategists and external marketing agencies to accomplish goalsOversee the work of a direct report; provide leadership, guidance, and support growth and developmentOversee pre-event and on-site event attendee communicationsManage writing copy, web maintenancePerform other duties as assignedRequirements :
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or digital publishing6 years’ experience in marketing or marketing communications, with extensive experience in :project management
digital marketing strategy including email, social, mobile, and searchdirect and print marketing strategymarketing analyticsweb content and copywritingProven ability to craft creative marketing vision at the strategic level and execute at the operational levelExperience with website content management systems, and email distribution toolsConversant in current e-commerce and Internet business issues, omnichannel retailing and digital marketingProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plusAbility to manage multiple time sensitive priorities and quickly adapt to change in prioritiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, accelerated timeframe, multidiscipline environment, independently as well as within a teamExcellent oral / written communications skillsStrong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skillsHow to Apply : Interested candidates are invited to submit an application with their resume and cover letter.
