Job Overview:
The Manager, Data & Analytics is responsible for the strategic vision and implementation strategy to support NRS's Business Intelligence, Data Quality and Predictive Analytics needs. This newly created position will bring together several functions scattered within the organization and be tasked with building the strategy for the team, hiring strong talent and delivering within this critical area.
The Manager must be an effective business partner, with the ability to drive change within the organization towards a culture of data maturity. It is essential that the candidate in this role implement best practices for master data management and data quality and data governance. The Manager should have wide-ranging knowledge of best-in-class technology including hands on expertise in Visualization tools, ETL tools, Datawarehouse and Data Lakes.
The Manager is expected to have a track record of building highly engaged teams, creating a culture of data quality and intelligence, while being a strong business/client-facing leader. The Manager should possess a thorough understanding of technology, process, data governance and enterprise platforms, while exhibiting solid business acumen and excellent communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities:
Lead & Manage
- Support and promote the company values, culture, and HR processes
- Lead, coach, and manage direct reports
- Recruit, reward, and recognize employees
- Provide the necessary training opportunities, tools, and resources to ensure team success
- Provide clear direction in weekly team checkpoints
- Manage frequent performance feedback
Sustain Inter-Departmental Growth, and Mentoring
- Support and own analytics team mentoring and growth to ensure Jr and Mid-level resources are coached both personally and professionally
- Manage onboarding, advancement, and goal planning to support employee growth and retention
- Organize regular mentoring sessions that focus on career development and enhanced soft skills
Data & Analytics Related Functions
- Lead organization-wide Data Quality, Data Governance, & Predictive Analytics
- Implement best practices to build a data-driven culture
Operational Reporting
- Ability to quickly gather information around our many disparate reporting and business intelligence platforms and draft an enterprise-wide strategy for operational reports and BI
- Execute a strategy to a build a consistent, repeatable reporting platform
Deliver Innovative Solutions
- Implement Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Visualizations which align with the business needs for today and the future
- Establish a strategy of Data-as-a-Service, Analytics-as-a-Service and Predictive Analytics platform for the organization
Business Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Partner with business leaders to build awareness and maximize value/impact of the function
- Build trust and strong working relationships with Technology and Business stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience in business analysis, project / program delivery, solution design, business analytics & reporting, data architectures and query capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong business acumen and ability to adapt to change
- Data Governance - awareness of data privacy regulations and ethical considerations in data analysis.
- Continuous Learning - staying updated with emerging data analytics technologies and techniques
- Willingness to travel 10% of the time
Required Skills:
- Highly Proficient in PowerBI, Tableau and other visualization tools.
- Expert in writing SQL queries and optimizing that code for performance.
- Expert with Azure Data Factory, Synapse and Azure Data Lake
- Ability to query databases to analyze data sets, and how to translate data into meaningful business analytics
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning algorithms to identify patterns and make predictions
- Familiarity with Implementing and supporting Master Data Management tools such as Reltio.
