Job Summary
Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Trainer to join our growing roofing company. This individual will play a critical role in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for our expanding sales team. The Sales Trainer will ensure that all sales representatives are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and techniques to achieve and exceed sales targets while upholding the company’s standards of excellence. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales training, preferably within the roofing or construction industry, and a passion for coaching and developing talent.
Compensation:
- Base Salary: Competitive, based on experience
- Performance-Based Bonuses: Based on team sales performance and training success
- Total Compensation: $80,000 - $120,000 including incentives
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver sales training programs for new and existing sales representatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Develop onboarding programs to integrate new hires into the company, quickly preparing them to be productive members of the sales team.
- Train sales reps on key skills, including prospecting, closing techniques, objection handling, product knowledge, and CRM usage.
- Create specialized training modules focused on the unique aspects of roofing sales, including insurance claim processes, storm-related opportunities, and market strategies.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions to improve individual sales performance and skill development.
- Evaluate and assess training effectiveness, using feedback and data to refine and improve training programs over time.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to identify performance gaps and customize training to address those areas.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovations to ensure training content is relevant and cutting-edge.
- Assist in the development of training materials, including handbooks, video tutorials, and online learning platforms.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in sales training, preferably within the roofing or construction industry.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful training programs that result in improved sales performance.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, with the ability to break down complex concepts into actionable steps.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a talent for engaging and motivating diverse groups of sales professionals.
- Familiarity with CRM systems, sales tracking software, and other technology used to support sales operations.
- Ability to travel to various company locations to deliver in-person training as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in roofing sales, specifically related to storm damage and insurance claim processes.
- Certifications in sales training, coaching, or a related field.
- Experience developing e-learning programs and virtual training modules.
