We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rental Manager to oversee our RV Rental operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills and a customer-focused mindset to ensure an exceptional experience for our clients. This role requires effective communication, organizational abilities, and a knack for managing inventory and data entry tasks. As a Rental Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales while maintaining operational efficiency. You will also need to be hands on. This role may include delivering RV's to campgrounds from time to time during the busiest season. This role can also include early mornings and late nights. This role can include cleaning/detailing RV's when our cleaning staff is overwhelmed. It is highly seasonal, with busy season ranging from June-September and then relatively easy the rest of the year.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily rental operations, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Engage in sales activities to promote rental services and expand the customer base.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records of inventory and transactions.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring that all rental items are accounted for and in good condition.
- Provide excellent front desk service, addressing customer inquiries and assisting with rental agreements.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze sales trends and make informed decisions regarding inventory levels.
- Maintain effective phone etiquette when communicating with clients and vendors.
- Collaborate with team members to develop marketing strategies that enhance visibility in the market.
- Prepare reports using Excel to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales or a similar customer-facing role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for effective data entry and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Proficiency in Excel for reporting purposes; familiarity with retail math concepts is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in outside sales or marketing is a plus but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes are essential for success in this role.
