Job Summary:

We are seeking a Site Safety Manager ( Mon - Fri / 8 AM -4 PM) to oversee and enforce safety protocols on construction sites, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements. This role involves working closely with general contractors (GCs), subcontractors, and site personnel to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction site safety management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards proactively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Safety Oversight & Compliance

  • Monitor and enforce OSHA regulations, site-specific safety policies, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA 30, OSHA 510, and other applicable safety training requirements.
  • Work directly with the General Contractor (GC) and subcontractors to coordinate safety measures.
2. Incident Prevention & Reporting

  • Investigate and document accidents, near-misses, and safety violations.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to prevent future incidents.
  • Prepare and submit safety reports to company leadership and clients.
3. Training & Safety Meetings

  • Conduct safety orientations for new workers on-site.
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency response drills.
  • Ensure that all personnel use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and follow safety protocols.
4. Collaboration & Site Coordination

  • Serve as the primary safety representative for the company on assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and field workers to promote a culture of safety.
  • Assist with site audits, client inspections, and regulatory compliance checks.
Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Safety Manager in construction, data centers, or similar projects.
  • OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 certifications required (OSHA 500 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Experience working in both indoor and outdoor construction environments.
  • Ability to analyze risks, develop safety plans, and enforce site safety procedures.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor workers.
Work Environment & Conditions:

  • Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor construction environments.
  • Exposure to various weather conditions and construction hazards.
  • May require travel to multiple sites within the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area.
  • Work schedule varies based on project needs and GC requirements.
