What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial HVAC Service Technician position at National Service and Controls, Inc.?
We are hiring HVAC Commercial Service Technicians who are fully qualified service professionals, able to install, repair, or maintain commercial HVAC systems with little or no supervision. This includes:
- Responding to routine and emergency service calls.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems and components and associated electrical issues (high and low voltage) to determine service requirements.
- Performing on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, replacement of components of commercial HVAC equipment.
- Conducting routine inspections to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels and in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Installation of mechanical equipment and controls.
This position is based in Redlands, California, but technicians will travel throughout the Southern California area daily to our customer sites. Technicians are dispatched daily from home in a company vehicle. Technicians must have a clean driving record and meet insurance requirements to drive a company vehicle.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience (may consider a mix of residential/commercial service experience).
Note: This is primarily service work, not installation or preventative maintenance. Candidates must have HVAC service experience including diagnosis, troubleshooting and repairs. This is not an entry level position for recent graduates. - EPA Universal Certification
- Possess a valid driver's license, clean driving record and meet all insurance requirements to drive a company vehicle
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a background check
