Pharmacy Technician/Data Entry
Pharmacy Technician (data entry experience & micromerchant prime rx only
Primary Responsibilities: Expert Experience Necessary on Micromerchant ( Expert on Prime RX)
· Register new patients into pharmacy systems with appropriate demographics & insurances
· Be able to Read , interpret & Type in new, refill, facility prescription orders ( with proper directions) according to client-specific criteria while maintaining acceptable production quotas as determined by experience and company policy, into the Prime RX ( Micro Merchant pharmacy system) . be able to understand and experience in pharmacy software (MMS), Develop proficiency in the utilization of all pharmacy systems (ie document imaging, Erx , Medicine -on-time , Dispill )
· Be able to Triage and prioritization of received orders (whether phone, fax or eRX)
· Review and input daily inventory stock and pharmacy orders in a timely and accurate manner according also Enter returns/credits into the pharmacy wholesaler’s system when applicable
· Be able to calculate Dosage calculations and day-supply properly
· Be able to create New patient’s profile
i. Doctor’s profile
ii. Add new drug in the system
iii. Put new insurance in the system
· Print/Sort Labels for filling prescriptions
· Brand/ Generic medicine knowledge
· Billing insurances and understanding rejection if not covered by insurance
· Communication with doctor’s office, patient, and insurance properly
· Prior- Authorization and knowledge to interchange medicines
· DAW Knowledge
· Dr. wants to prescribe brand
· Patient wants brand
· Proper documentation on prescriptions for audit purpose
· Answer in-bound calls to assist patients, providers and internal patient support services with inquiries
- Perform outbound calls to patients and providers to welcome them to pharmacy and for refill prescription scheduling
- Escalate questions around medication usage and concerns to the pharmacist
- Facilitate scheduling for prescription delivery to patient or provider’s office
- Maintain current patient profiles per accreditation requirements, as well as State and Federal regulations and laws
- Obtain and complete prescription transfers to and from other pharmacies as needed
- Assist in prescription order requests from providers and clarification on prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Process scheduled order- fulfillment and facilitate the process of urgent orders to ship as promised
- Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast and efficient service
· Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal as well as external
· Maintains confidentiality, security and integrity of protected health information
· Assist with training of new pharmacy team members
Additional Responsibilities:
- Utilize headset and computer terminal and navigate through multiple systems to input and retrieve information.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and training activities
- Work efficiently both individually and within a team to accomplish required tasks
- Maintain and improve quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines; recommending improved procedures

- Be able to effectively & Professionally Communicate and have good Relationship with Management
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of Pharmacy Technician or relative work experience
- RPhT Pharmacy Technician License ( mandatory if not than need to obtain within 90 days) or National (CPhT) Pharmacy Technician Certification ( is Plus )
Salary based on Experience and evaluation
Previous data entry experience at 2 years and ability to type 30 words per minute
Job Type: Full-time

- Weekends as needed
