National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our surgery center in Port St. Lucie.

• Schedule: 1 shift per month (2nd Tuesday of the month)
• Hours: Dayshift
• Setting: Surgery Center
  
  

IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL

• Provide patient care as directed by physicians and management
• Effectively communicate information to the physicians/nurses and relay associated responses back to patients
• Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, X-rays, path reports, etc.); vital signs, reviewing current medications, dosage, and dosage schedule; noting any allergies; and recording Provider(s') orders and prescriptions.

Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

• A high school degree or equivalent education and training.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred OR a minimum of two (2) years of clinical Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a specialty practice.
• CMA/RMA certification preferred
• Experience with electronic medical records
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
