EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Description
National Spine & Pain Centers is seeking a Per Diem Medical Assistant to join our team of highly trained, caring professionals at our surgery center in Port St. Lucie.
- Schedule: 1 shift per month (2nd Tuesday of the month)
- Hours: Dayshift
- Setting: Surgery Center
- Provide patient care as directed by physicians and management
- Effectively communicate information to the physicians/nurses and relay associated responses back to patients
- Complete documentation for patient charts by obtaining diagnostic studies (e.g., labs, X-rays, path reports, etc.); vital signs, reviewing current medications, dosage, and dosage schedule; noting any allergies; and recording Provider(s') orders and prescriptions.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
- A high school degree or equivalent education and training.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred OR a minimum of two (2) years of clinical Medical Assistant experience, preferably in a specialty practice.
- CMA/RMA certification preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.
