This position will work closely with management and part time employees in a hands-on position that will be exposed to company-wide collaboration.
Facility Supervisor
Operational duties include but not limited to: tournament operations, event supevision, general building maintenance, monitoring refrigeration plant, ice maintenance, customer satisfaction, quality control, and team building.
Sport Management degree, knowledge or experience in ice arena management, basic computer skills are required. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
Title: Facility Supervisor
Assignment: National Sports Center Super Rink
Reports to: Ice Arena Operations Manager
Supervises: Part time arena staff
Competencies: The ability to engage and successfully manage all aspects of the arena operations department
Boundaries: Authority to manage staff and customers within the department and is expected to use his/her discretion to benefit the MASC, NSCF, and Super Rink. Primary hours will be weeknights and weekends.
Duties Include: Arena Operations
- Understanding and operate all aspects of ice arena operations
- Supervise staff management: train staff, assign tasks as needed
- Supervise with implementing all arena operations policies and procedures
- Supervise all event and game day management – knowledge of each event and needs
- Provide high level of customer service to all ice buyers
- Ability to communicate with customers and staff
- Ability to speak to large groups
- Ability to use all current computer programs and software
Maintenance and Mechanical
- Supervise all projects with the Ice Arena Specialists and Ice Techs for minor mechanical projects and preventative maintenance
- Ability to work with outside mechanical companies
- Create task list for part time staff
- Supervise and maintain and review all logs for equipment, fire, OSHA, air quality, etc…
Relationships
- Create relationships with all ice customers, industry leaders, vendors, etc…
Additional Duties As Assigned
- Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Operations and Operations Manager 5% of duties may be assigned to other National Sports Center facilities or events
Education/Experience: Minimum of two years ice arena operations experience
Classification: Part Time
Terms of Employment: At will
Compensation: Based on educational and tenure with the NSC, paid bi-weekly
