Daily Range of Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technologist :
Preparing and draping the patient prior to procedure.Assisting the physicians performing diagnostic procedures.Observing and monitoring the patient's blood pressure as directed by the physician as well as using other physiological monitoring equipment. Continuous monitoring of the EKG and the ability to identify arrhythmias.Handling and passing instruments, guide wires, catheters or other necessary items.Select the proper technical factors and positioning of the patient to demonstrate anatomy and suspected pathology.Recognize and communicate the electrocardiographic and hemodynamic changes to the physician and other staff members throughout the procedure.Maintains established department procedures and policies, performance improvement, objectives, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Assist with cardiac output determination and other calculations. Has a good working knowledge of diagnostic catheters, sterile supplies and interventional catheter-based equipment.Qualifications for the Certified Surgical Technologist :
Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology.Certification from Technical School in Operating Room Technician preparatory program or Surgical Technician preparatory program. .Current State licensure or license eligible in States where applicable.One or more year(s) of current experience in a comparable or equivalent job classification required.Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and / or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification for HealthCare workers.Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.Compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.Compliant with Infection Control, Standard Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.Submit your resume to us today for consideration of the Certified Surgical Technologist opening and one of our dedicated recruiters will be in touch within 24 business hours.
