Description
We are seeking an Asset Manager to assist with the management, and development of our self storage portfolio. This position will have the opportunity to work with our asset management team on acquisition capex, revenue enhancement opportunities, unit reconfigurations, and casualty redevelopments. The ideal candidate for this role will have good communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of real estate development and construction processes, and have recent project management experience. The Asset Manager will work with internal and external groups on project scopes and timelines, and be responsible for reporting to management status and costs for projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the asset management function by developing project scope and timelines for multiple capital projects across a large portfolio of self storage properties
- Conduct site visits, and monitor project status with internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze project bids, costs, and change orders for accuracy and appropriateness for work being completed
- Assist with building innovative tools to track and monitor project progress across all aspects of asset management
- Assist with the identification of new development opportunities, or re-development opportunities within the portfolio
- Build and maintain relationships with industry vendors in all aspects of construction and development
- Effectively present information to groups of executives, investors, lenders, and other internal partners and respond to their questions
Compensation / Work Hours /Locations
$100,000-$120,000 base salary Bonus
4 days a week in office.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree with 5 years of progressive relevant experience.
- 5 years working with various construction teams including architects, engineers, and other vendors
- Experience in large multi-unit, geographically dispersed organizations.
- Creative and innovative problem-solving ability
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners
- Proven leadership skills with strong understanding of emotional intelligence and ability to apply those skills in a leadership capacity to manage, mentor, and develop individuals
- Open and collaborative mindset to be able to professionally and effectively communicate with stakeholders about property needs, and requirements
- Ability to influence key stakeholders across a wide variety of disciplines and coordinate their efforts, as necessary
