Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Telecom U/G Construction Estimator to join our team at National Technologies (NTI), a Network Connex Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing accurate and timely proposals and estimates for fiber construction projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment based on the provided scope of work, drawings, and specifications.
- Proposal Development: Develop comprehensive proposals based on the scope of work and bid specifications.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers and area directors to develop multidisciplinary estimates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in the fiber construction industry.
- 7 years of experience in outside plant construction.
Preferred Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs, and engineering.
- Strong understanding of market conditions and cost structures in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
