Role Summary
We seek a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLP-A) to support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering evidence-based, pediatric-focused care. This position is available in Washington, DC, Bethesda, MD, and Germantown, MD.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist SLPs in administering speech and language screenings.
- Implement therapy plans under SLP supervision for clients with communication disorders.
- Deliver direct intervention services and support data collection.
- Document session outcomes and client progress.
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic client care.
- Comply with all clinical, ethical, and legal standards of practice.
- Engage in ongoing training and continuing education.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or a related field.
- Active Maryland SLP-A license.
- Previous pediatric experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Collaborative and family-centered mindset.
- Comfortable with the physical requirements of pediatric care (kneeling, floor work, lifting 10 lbs, etc.).
