JOB POSTING
National Tropical Botanical Garden is recruiting for four (4) Full Time (Temporary)
Education Program Teachers based at McBryde Garden to help with ‘Ike Mala Summer
Program for 2 weeks (July 14-July 25,2025).
The ideal candidates can work effectively with minimal supervision and have the ability
to work well in a team. Must have experience working in education. Must be very
enthusiastic and able to help deliver a memorable, impactful learning experience for
course participants. Must be able to work with curriculum and instruction.
Knowledge of Hawaiian culture, practice and language is beneficial. Knowledge of
Biocultural Conservation is a plus. Applicants must have good communication skills and
the capability to communicate curriculum well with grade school age children. Having a
CPR/ first aid certification is beneficial. Able to pass a pre-employment background
check is mandatory. Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required.
Schedule: Weekdays
Pay range: $25.00-$30.00/ hr DOE
