Florida Technical College founded in 1982 to provide private, post-secondary education offering diploma, associate and bachelor's degree programs in a range of professions, including Healthcare, Construction Trades, Hospitality, Beauty, Information Technology and Business.
Florida Technical College Nursing Program Faculty are highly motivated and qualified Nursing Faculty members who is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating courses across the nursing curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment for students, and contributing to the ongoing development of the program. Adjunct Instructor duties include teaching, directing and coordinating academic activities or any academic related activity. The Faculty member provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to gain employment in their chosen field of study by utilizing teaching skills, experience, and abilities to create a positive, nurturing and effective classroom environment in an effort to actively retain and successfully graduate students from their program of study.
Minimum requirements:.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program. Doctorate in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of Florida. Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification through the National League for Nursing (NLN) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in clinical nursing practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an accredited nursing program is preferred.
Academic programs are available on a monthly basis.
Must be computer literate in order to maintain and manage the course documents within the learning management system and also educational resources.
