What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs-Bilingual(English/Spanish) position at National University College?
Responsible to assist in the leadership necessary to fulfill the mission, objectives, plans and goals of the college and all education and training areas by planning, organizing, directing, staffing, coordinating, motivating, supervising and evaluating all facets of the school’s education department.
Minimum requirement:
- Master's degree required, preferably in the field of Education or related field.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience in an educational setting.
- Bilingual- English and Spanish
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual retention goals of the college by providing student services, supportive time for students, inclusive of office hours, lead instructors, professor communication with students, etc.
- Meet or exceed daily student attendance rate goal.
- Assist in development and maintain the student schedule for all programs and courses.
- Verify all classes have appropriate coverage (faculty) and that instructors complete contractual agreements through module end dates.
- Provide support in recruitment, interviews, and faculty orientation
- Conduct quarterly formal classroom observations of instructors.
- Assist with scheduling and faculty development, in-services and professional growth activities to meet accreditation criteria.
- Take regular visual inventory of facility’s needs and make recommendations to appropriate parties.
- Monitor, facilitate, and implement timely curriculum revisions via coordination with and approval of VP for Academic Affairs.
- Ensure the student experience satisfaction by classrooms observations and student surveys
- Ensure that instructors are following the standardized curriculum and that course objectives are being met.
- Academic oversight of the Interdisciplinary Studies Associate Program, to include supervisory and program management duties.
