Job Description
The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, is seeking an exceptional and motivated early to mid-career academic to join our faculty as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Health Security. This position is designed for candidates with expertise in health security, biosecurity or related fields, with a strong public health background, and who are passionate about research, teaching, and contributing to global health initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the school's Asia Centre for Health Security in improving health security across Asia and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-impact research in health security, focusing on infectious disease control, pandemic preparedness, bioterrorism, and other health threats.
- Develop and lead collaborative projects that advance regional and international health security with academic institutions, government agencies, and international organizations.
- Contribute to the development of curricula and academic programs in health security.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to health security, public health, and global health.
- Mentor and supervise graduate students in their research academic development.
- Seek external funding for research projects through grant applications and partnerships.
- Engage in community outreach and contribute to health security policy development at regional and international levels.
