National Vision is currently looking for a Assistant Frames Merchant to join our growing team! This is a hybrid opportunity which requires work to be performed onsite three days per week.
Job Description
The role is responsible for managing the beginning phase of a new frame/style life cycle.
What Would You Do? The Specifics.
- Tracks receipt of sample frames from vendors for all new styles selected during vendor meetings.
- Coordinates lab quality assurance testing of sample frames and maintains updated lab evaluation files.
- Sets up new SKUs in the merchandising system.
- Generates initial purchase orders for all new styles.
- Inspects all new frames/styles to ensure product meets requirements such as correct sizing, color imprints, SKU numbers, and consistently prior to any frame launch.
- Answers and resolves all frame merchandising issues and inquiries from the stores as it relates to their inventory, assortment, SKU tags, and product recalls.
- Processes all cost and retail changes in merchandising system outside of the monthly product launch.
- Manages the new store tracking calendar for the merchandising department ensuring new stores have the correct retails downloaded and enough inventory to fill their frame boards.
- Works with Operations and Inventory Management to coordinate inventory recalls by creating recall packets (recall list by SKU and SKU tags) for the stores.
- Works with IT department to streamline processes and look for improvement opportunities.
- Purchases and maintains inventory of SKU tag labels and ink for the Merchandising SKU tag printers.
- Writes and maintains procedures for the department.
Qualifications
Work Experience
- 2-4 years Retail, Customer Service, and/or Administrative (Required)
Education
- Two years of college or equivalent experience. (Required)
- Four year college degree or equivalent experience. (Preferred)
