What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Wellness Services position at National Winter Actvity Center?
National Winter Activity Center is seeking a qualified Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our campers and staff during the summer season.
Main Responsibilities:
- Observe daily cleanliness in the food service facility and other areas throughout the camp.
- Report any health problems or symptoms of illness to the Camp Director.
- Provide leadership in the camp's risk management program.
- Develop a resource file and obtain information and/or literature concerning health in the camp community.
The ideal candidate will have experience in first aid and emergency management, as well as documented experience in both children and adult illness/injury care. A strong desire to work with children and young adults is essential. The ability to quickly get to remote locations on camp property over uneven terrain, as well as communicate with parents, staff, and administration about camper health concerns, is also required.
