Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and process-oriented Production Supervisor who excels at driving positive change through data analysis and team leadership. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day production activities, coordinate staffing needs, support maintenance and equipment troubleshooting, and uphold quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is someone who combines strong people skills with a knack for continuous improvement and a commitment to following policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership:

• Coordinate and manage daily production schedules to meet operational goals.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment that complies with OSHA guidelines.

Data-Driven Improvements:

• Track and analyze production metrics (e.g., OEE) to identify bottlenecks and recommend process enhancements.
• Use lean manufacturing and 5S principles to optimize efficiency and workflow.

Team Management & Development:

• Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, collaborating with HR for additional temporary labor when needed.
• Conduct regular evaluations and feedback sessions to promote professional growth and address performance gaps.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes accountability, safety, and mutual respect.

Equipment & Maintenance Coordination:

• Work closely with Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and prioritize repairs, retrofits, and preventative measures.
• Ensure proper documentation and follow-up for equipment work orders.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

• Enforce adherence to company policies, quality standards, and production best practices.
• Conduct routine checks to verify consistent product quality and timely completion of sanitation tasks.

Administrative Duties:

• Document daily production reports, track inventories, and maintain accurate logs.
• Provide regular updates to senior management regarding progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience & Skills
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to leverage data and metrics for decision-making and operational improvements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Global Shop).

Additional Requirements

• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, algebra) for fabrication calculations.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and production demands.

Preferred

• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen events, safety programs, etc.).
• Knowledge of advanced manufacturing practices and relevant compliance requirements.

Schedule & Compensation

• Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed.
