What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Sports Referee - Soccer, Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball position at National Youth Sports - Nevada?
General Purpose of the Position: Youth league officials will officiate youth soccer, basketball, volleyball, and/or flag football league games, during April through May for the spring league and September through November for the fall league. Pay is $12-$30 per game, depending on age division and years of experience. We are looking for individuals with experience playing, coaching, the following sports at any level.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Officiate and control games, events, and competitions in a confident, appropriate manner.
-Ensure all participants understand and comply with game rules and assess penalties when needed.
-Make game calls with confidence and knowledge of league rules.
-Keep track of event start times, and start or stop play as necessary.
-Make sure the teams have the appropriate equipment and inspect both players and equipment for any issues.
-Arrive on time for work.
-Deliver excellent customer service to participants, coaches and spectators. Assist with game setup and breakdown.
-Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-One year playing, coaching at any level desired.
-Ability to crouch, sprint, stand, or jog for extended periods during gameplay.
-Ability to view violations and infractions accurately during gameplay.
-Ability to communicate the rules clearly in a non-confrontational manner, and settle disputes among players as well as handle stressful situations that may arise with players, coaches or parents.
-Ability to quickly make decisions on infractions and other calls
-Maintain strong character and unquestionable integrity.
