JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly self-motivated, outgoing and energetic General Manager who expounds the principle of leading by example to provide a superior level of service, team building and development and financial success.
Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit a proven track record of exemplary performance, strong leadership abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and guest and employee centric management practices.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversight of a nationally branded top performing hotel with meeting space.
- Continued focus to raise the bar in areas of quality standards, team building and development, superior guest service, and the maximization of profits
- Provide the leadership and oversight of all areas of operations
- Ensure that all departments are focused on revenue growth and strategic cost controls.
- Integral part in budget preparation and management.
- Lead team in the development and implementation of hotel-wide strategies.
- Proactive in areas such as preventative maintenance, safety and security, recruitment thru training and recognition, and ROI.
- Ensure that brand and company standards are maintained to exceed the expectations of all guests.
The successful candidate should exemplify the following:
- Branded (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt or similar) hotel experience preferred.
- 2 - 5 years of General Management experience required
- Experience and working knowledge in front and back office operations.
- Strong financial management skills
- Proven strong leadership skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding of all areas of hotel operations
- Capability to work in a fast paced environment
- Provide professional image through appearance and dress
- Available nights, weekends, and holidays
