Description
We are seeking a skilled Zscaler Administrator & Implementation Specialist to lead the migration from Ivanti (Pulse Secure) to Zscaler and oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of Zscaler cloud security solutions.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Zscaler deployment, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting, ensuring a seamless transition and ongoing security posture improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the migration from Ivanti (Pulse Secure) to Zscaler, including planning, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Administer and maintain Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) solutions.
Configure Zscaler policies, authentication methods, SSL inspection, URL filtering, and DLP rules to meet security requirements.
Work closely with network, security, and IT teams to ensure a smooth transition and integration with existing security frameworks.
Monitor Zscaler logs and analytics to identify threats, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize performance.
Provide technical documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Stay updated on Zscaler best practices, security trends, and emerging threats to enhance the organization's security posture.
Work within compliance and regulatory frameworks to ensure proper security implementation.
Required Qualifications
Experience in network security, cloud security, or Zscaler administration.
Proven experience in migrating from Ivanti (Pulse Secure) to Zscaler or similar security platforms.
Strong knowledge of Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Experience with firewalls, proxies, VPN technologies, identity & access management (IAM), and authentication protocols (SAML, LDAP, OAuth, etc.).
Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) concepts and best practices.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Industry certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA), Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), CISSP, or CCNP Security are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in federal or government environments with compliance requirements (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC).
Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, endpoint security, and cloud security solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or APIs for automation.
