What Does a Floor Supervisor Do?
- Assist Store Manager with operation of store including opening, closing
- Making sure that the store is always clean and properly organized
- Assisting store cashiers at peak periods
- Responsible for assisting the Store Manager and ASM, to ensure the company's standards and procedures are effectively met
- Proactively seek products/project knowledge to provide customer with information and identify selling opportunities
- Provide first level escalation for customer issues
- Greet customers, offer assistance with products/services, resolve customer complaints
- Plays a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service
- Responds to customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotes, complaints and scheduling of deliveries and providing customer follow-ups
- Assist Store Manager with inventory management and merchandising
- Prepares bids and material estimates for customers
- Be an example and leader of best practices and company values
- Filling in for the store manager when required
- Additional duties, as assigned
What Does It Take to Be a Floor Supervisor?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years retail experience, prior supervisory experience a plus
- Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties
- Ability to lift up to 80lbs pounds without assistance, consistently able to bend, twist, squat, and reach throughout the work shift
- Knowledge of store inventory control and merchandising
- Results-oriented with ability to serve stores with humility and be a steward of Nation’s Best’s values
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining adaptable and flexible
- Strong interpersonal skills with willingness to consistently provide superior customer service skills
- Ability to react appropriately under pressure
