Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing the execution of multiple concurrent commercial roofing projects from pre-construction through to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet our high-quality standards. You will be expected to collaborate closely with teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Scheduling:
Prepare and manage detailed project schedules and phasing plans for each job.Budget & Cost Management:
Oversee project costs through ECAC and WIP reviews, and ensure projects stay on budget.Team Coordination & Supervision:
Control manpower, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate on-site activities to keep projects on track.Pre-Construction & Pre-Job Meetings:
Participate in pre-construction meetings, reviewing plans and ensuring smooth handoff from estimating to operations.Customer & Client Relations:
Cultivate relationships with clients to foster repeat business and ensure their satisfaction.Quality Control & Safety:
Ensure quality control is maintained across all projects and that safety plans are executed according to company policies.Inventory & Materials Management:
Track material inventory, ensuring everything is available for project needs, and handle purchase orders as required.Project Closeout:
Coordinate final inspections, manage project closeout documents, and ensure completion to customer satisfaction.Additional Tasks:
Assist estimating, supervise work performed by crews, and provide guidance on smaller service projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial roofing project management.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with project cost management, scheduling, and coordinating subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications for roofing projects.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, teams, and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.
