- Develops age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for young children.
- Monitors and supervises children to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Communicates effectively with parents regarding children's progress and behavior.
- Implements positive discipline techniques to encourage good behavior.
- Observes and assesses children's development and growth.
- Collaborates with other teachers and staff to create a nurturing learning environment.
- Associate's Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or related field with 30 quarter or 24 semester hours in Child Development or Early Childhood Education, or equivalent credential, preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
Active Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or certification within one year of hire, required.

- Effective communication skills to interact with children, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to supervise and direct Assistant Teachers and students.
