Education and Experience
The Defense Technology Trainer will be responsible for training AIT Soldiers on the operation and employment of artillery systems. The trainer will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the 13M MOS within the last 10 years and must possess an active SECRET security clearance. The trainer will also be qualified and demonstrate the operation of MLRS systems, AFATDS, AMP-V, Digital Systems: AN/GHyK-63, VRC-92F, OE-254, Vehicles: M142 HIMARS, M207A1 MLRS, M9854A HEMTT, M989A1 HEMTT, M1084A1 RVSV, LMTV/FMTV, HMMWV. The trainer will work closely with the USAFAS to ensure that training meets the needs of the military and is aligned with current doctrinal publications. The responsibilities include instructing AIT Soldiers, providing input for updates/training to the POI, maintaining and updating lesson plans, presenting instruction on individual and crew level skills, tasks, and duties, administering examinations, evaluating test results, and providing recommendations to academic deficiency panels.
